7-Day Forecast

Updated : April 18th, 2026

Good evening, Mid-Michigan!

After a week of very active weather, we get a break from the near-constant showers and storms this week, with a drier pattern setting up.

A last bit of rain over the weekend is possible, with drier weather finally arriving for the week ahead. Some scattered snow/rain showers are possible across the Lower Peninsula tomorrow, thanks to a bit of lake-enhanced forcing, and temperatures will be below normal for the first two days of the forecast period.

By Tuesday, however, ample sunshine and southerly winds will usher in a warmer airmass, that'll persist through the rest of the week, with highs approaching 70 on Thursday and Friday. The next chances of precipitation come on Friday as a cold front is forecast to move through the Great Lakes region. Some relatively cooler temperatures are possible next weekend, though there's still significant variability in the models at this range.

Have a great week, everyone!

24-Hour forecast

Updated: April 16th, 2026

Good afternoon, Mid-Michigan!

Tonight, yet again we have another round of thunderstorms arriving through the late hours of the night. With continuous rainfall the concern for flooding continues throughout the entire state of Michigan. The NWS has issued a slight risk for the southern part of the lower peninsula. Northern areas are included in a Marginal risk for tonight. Our biggest concern is areas on the East side of the state for severe weather. Gusty winds are up to 20mph with lows around the upper 50’s to mid-60’s.

Tomorrow, the rain and storms will continue but with less severity. Again, gusty winds are expected for areas surrounded by the I-96 Corridor. Highs are expected to be around 70 degrees for most areas.

Stay updated as locations continue to become more prone to flooding! Take caution if you choose to drive through severe weather and stay alert.

Have a good day!
